N.S. Of The O.N.E. Corporation - Insomniack Museick
I’m out of melatonin, typically the only thing short of a hard day’s manual labor that’s adequate to knock me out in time to sleep like a normal human being (outside some ol’ type a shit I don’t really fuck with—though I guess manual labor falls under that too). So keeping tweaker hours is a constant, one I’m pretty damned bored with at this point. Sleep deprivation can be great fun of course, a potent drug all it’s own, a realm of great creativity where everything is hilarious—once you get over the itchy/vibrating eyeballs thing. I think as a kid I wished so hard that I could stay up like my parents that now I can’t even help but do it, even without the chemicals that kept their particular party going.
Every now and then I run into the homie Native Soun, who made this personal classic from 1996’s 14 Fathoms Deep, my gateway into Seattle hiphop; he tells me he’s got a project coming at long last. If it’s got one song on it as good as this song I’m wit it. Corny as it sounds, don’t sleep on this one.

Tight. this track was a personal favorite of mine off of 14 Fathoms, but I never knew thing one about NS of the O.N.E. Corporation. I’m really happy to hear he’s still out there making music.

I know Rees, who dropped an album called “Army With No Faces” back in ‘03, is also part of O.N.E.; he also works closely with Avatar Young Blaze.
