Upstate NY-bred MC/producer Katie Finn, Carl Sagan fan, first lady of the OFS clique (any female in an otherwise male rap crew has to be “the first lady”, there’s rules to this shit) has dropped this, the single I’ve been hearing about from folks for a hot minute. It don’t disappoint either, in the parlance of our times- I’m fucking with it. Originally, I wasn’t too sure about Katie based on the first joints I heard on her Myspace, but at the first night of Go! Machine I was very pleasantly surprised, finding her a confident performer with actual, certifiable spits. But this shows a how much more interesting her trajectory’s bound to be. So just how many more new female artists will emerge to energize this shit? Katie’s welcome answer: billions.
