Bookie - Stressin LP

Man, El Mizell dropped that I Smooth 7 shit and now i’m feelin like I can’t get outshined so I gotta hit you with some more of that rare/unreleased Battlecat heat.  Mizell, I see your I Smooth 7 and I raise you with Bookie’s “Stressin” LP.  I honestly don’t know much about Bookie other than dude was a ‘gangsta’ rapper from the Phoenix, AZ area who had enough sense or money to kick it w/ Battlecat.  ‘Cat produced 10 of the 18 tracks on the album (album credits here) and this is hands down one of the best G-Funk albums ever. On the mic he sort of sounds like a less-gifted version of Goldie Loc of Tha Eastsidaz.  He’s not bad but over all this dumb-hot G-Funk heatery he sounds fresh as hell.  He must have had incriminating photos of people cuz not only did he lock down ‘cat but he has features from E-40, Kurupt, Tech N9ne, Lil’ Keke and Kool G Rap to name a few.  Sit back and light some something if that’s your speed and chill out to this smooth G-Funk classic.  If it helps to push you towards downloading this, Jake One LOVES this album.
