Battlecat Week continues...I really didn’t have anything left after Promes came with the Bookie joint (kicking myself for all the times I’ve passed over that in used bins) really, aside from this- Battlecat’s 1999 album Gumbo Roots. Featuring cats like Playa Hamm, Domino, Dresta, Kam, Ras Kass and, yes- I Smooth 7, this shit will whiten the toecap on your Chucks and crease your Dickies on contact. (/Game style West Coast imagery)
Really doe, this shit ‘go’ from start IMO; gorgeous production from start to finish. You can hear that this project was his baby.
