Posted In The Parking Lot- Joe Gustav, who also writes for SSG, is funny, dry, and observant; his love of hiphop is varied and unprejudiced, and he named his shit after a fucking Devin the Dude song that some uptight bitch (not b/c of her gender, b/c of her tone) got mad at me for playing on Street Sounds once. There is nothing, from Mike Dean to scandalous big gul’ love, that I do not favor at least a little because of it’s association with Devin’s first album. That shit is like perfect.

All You Can Eat Hip-Hop- Don’t know everybody over there, but they keep their ear to the internet to find stuff I’ve never heard of; almost a more backpackery 2DB kind of taste over there (don’t lynch me, I think that’s what they’re going for), so I don’t like everything they throw up, but I’m always glad to know more. I like their local looks the best.

Swan Lake - Deven Morgan was a year ahead of me @ Franklin, and is apparently the biggest Tribal stan in Seattle. Haha, no shots, my mellow; Tribal is so crucial to so much rap-wise in our lamentable hiphop backwater, and I salute your dedication and invite you to share your archives with me. SL is exactly 5 posts strong so it’s just starting out,but one of them is an exhaustive look at fucking Erule. That is intense, doggie.

I get mad at blogs, and bloggers a lot, get winded on wanting to keep the faith, but these three are just a few of those in the local sphere (i say that too much) that I feel (and mind you, my opinion and ten cents won’t get you a dry Swisher on Black Friday) do this shit justice.
